This set mixes fairly serious images reflecting science - e.g. Cards 8, 9, 15 or 31 - with fantasy-adventure images derived from old serials like Flash Gordon - e.g. Card 89. There are some highly unrealistic but visually-striking images - e.g. Cards 19 or 104. The "scientific" ones look fairly realistic nearly sixty years later.
